"Circle and Cubes"

This sculpture is carved from Vancouver Island marble with a black marble base.

An exploration in geometry.

A grounded circular disc with companion solid fused cubes seemingly floating off into space. The organic and the manufactured.

The defiance to gravity.

A mystery.

I like the way the cubes, in different light and shadow conditions, play off each other and the circle.
