Stone Sculpture Workshop - September 2023
Now accepting students for the beginner soapstone sculpture classes beginning in September 2023.

Weekday and Weekend sessions.

During the class you will work on a soapstone sculpture of your own choice under the guidance and direction of Daniel Cline. You will learn everything nessesary to begin and complete a stone sculpture. Each class size is limited to 4 students, on a first come, first served basis. Suitable for beginners.

Contact me for classes for intermediate or more advanced sculptors.

Classes daily from 1-5pm daily.

Weekend - September 9th and 10th

Weekend - September 23rd and 24th

Weekday - Tuesdays 19th, 26th

Weekday -Thursdays 7th, 14th

Venue : My Sculpture Studio, Chemainus
Cost : $400 (Stone not included but available at reasonable rates.)

General Outline
First hour - Safety equipment, stone types and tools, getting started. Demonstration by Daniel.
Next 6 hours - Individual instruction on technique, form and content and direct carving
Last hour - Techniques for finishing.
